Bill Haug is the Founder and Principal of Taurus Collaborative and a marketing and communications executive with deep experience leading strategy, operations, and growth initiatives across higher education and mission-driven organizations. His work sits at the intersection of marketing, organizational leadership, and business strategy, where creativity meets disciplined execution.
Over the course of his career, Bill has built and led high-performing marketing functions that support awareness and drive revenue growth. He brings a comprehensive approach that integrates brand strategy, communications, digital engagement, and operational planning, with a strong emphasis on budgeting, process development, and measurable outcomes.
Bill is a digital native who has evolved alongside the rapid transformation of marketing and communications. He has a strong command of emerging technologies and platforms, and actively integrates digital tools, data, and artificial intelligence into strategic decision-making and execution. His approach bridges traditional marketing principles with modern innovation, ensuring organizations remain relevant, agile, and effective in a changing landscape.
He began his career in media and sports, with experience in professional basketball and digital publishing, before transitioning into leadership roles in marketing and communications. He holds both a bachelor’s degree in media studies and a master’s degree in corporate communications and public relations, and is currently a PhD candidate in Organization Development, Change, and Effectiveness.
Bill’s work is grounded in collaboration, clarity, and a commitment to building strategies that are not only well-designed, but sustainable and impactful over time.
